Thank you for your purchase from American Ayurveda. We hope you’re happy with it — but if you’re not completely satisfied for any reason, this policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work for orders placed through our shop.
Eligible items may be returned within 15 days of the delivery date. To qualify for a return, items must be:
Unused and in the same condition you received them.
In original packaging, with all original tags, seals, and labels intact.
Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt).
Returns postmarked after 15 days from delivery, or items that don’t meet the above conditions, may not be eligible for a refund and may be sent back to you at your expense.
2. Non-Returnable Products
To protect the safety, purity, and integrity of our formulations, the following categories are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged once shipped, except where the item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect (see Section 7):
Herbal capsules and tablets
Herbal oils
Herbal teas
Salves and topical formulations
Any other consumable or perishable herbal formulation
Copper wellness products (such as copper vessels and accessories) are returnable under the general policy above, provided they are unused and in original condition.
We will confirm eligibility and provide a Return Authorization along with return shipping instructions.
Securely pack the item in its original packaging, include your proof of purchase and Return Authorization, and ship it to the address provided in our confirmation email.
Returns sent without prior authorization may experience delays in processing.
4. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of the approval status. Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned item and issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.
5. Exchanges & Store Credit
If you’d prefer an exchange or store credit instead of a refund, let us know when you request your return. Exchanges are subject to product availability; if the item you’d like isn’t in stock, we’ll offer a refund or store credit instead.
6. Shipping Costs, Duties & Taxes
Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except when the return is due to our error (see Section 7).
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit back to us.
For international orders, any customs duties, VAT, or other import taxes are the responsibility of the customer, are paid directly to the relevant government authority, and are non-refundable by us.
7. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered — including non-returnable herbal products — please contact us at americanayurveda@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery, with photos of the item and packaging where possible. We will arrange a replacement or full refund, including return shipping costs, at no charge to you.
8. Certification Course Enrollments
Enrollment fees for the AAHHCC certification program are handled separately from physical product returns. Please refer to the enrollment terms provided at checkout, or contact us at americanayurveda@gmail.com for our current course cancellation and refund window.
9. Consultation Bookings
Cancellations or rescheduling for in-person or Zoom consultations are governed by our separate cancellation policy shown at the time of booking. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment.
